Kelly has always been physically active and a strong believer that ‘movement is medicine’ and a critical piece of overall wellbeing. Growing up she dabbled in group sports, eventually focusing on track and diving. She found her way to pilates in 2008 and started instructing in 2017, passionate about helping people connect to their bodies as a way to get both physically and mentally stronger.
Kelly has a need to find new ways to challenge herself and started participating in Spartan races in 2015. After a few years of coaxing, she managed to get her husband out to the course, and promptly kicked his butt. Determined not to let that happen again, he signed up for a CrossFit class the next week. Kelly decided to support him and try the class too, but with no interest in strength training, she had no intent on committing to it. Much to her surprise, she quickly fell in love with the endless combinations of challenges that required new skills in gymnastics, endurance, and strength! Most of all, she fell in love with the amazing collection of supportive people who transform their lives with one challenge and one class at a time.
Nearly six years later, CrossFit has become one of the most important elements of Kelly's life which is why she decided to pursue her L1 and start coaching others. She loves teaching others how to focus on their body-mind connection, positive attitude, and strong core, and is passionate about community building and aiding others in finding the best versions of themselves on and off the gym floor and pilates mats!
